We are thrilled to announce the addition of two new doctors to our teams who each bring great experience, unique skill sets, and commitment to providing exceptional patient-centric quality care. Today, Dr. Jay Thakkar joins our CCOFS – Rock Hill team and Dr. Taylor Warren joins our Rockcliff – Sylva and Waynesville teams.
Dr. Thakkar is an accomplished oral and maxillofacial surgeon with a passion for improving patients’ lives through innovative surgical procedures. His versatility in various surgical methods allows him to provide personalized care and tailor treatment differently for each patient. Dr. Thakkar received his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from North Carolina State University and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He completed his residency at The Brooklyn Hospital Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, where he served as Chief Resident of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Thakkar has received numerous awards for his excellence in oral and maxillofacial surgery, including the Osteoscience Foundation Grant Winner (2022), Excellence in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (2022, 2023), and he was the resident with the highest score in OMSITE training examination at The Brooklyn Hospital Center.
Dr. Warren is a dedicated oral surgeon who is passionate about providing exceptional care to his patients and brings a strong training background with a solid commitment to continuous learning. He was initially captivated by the direct and effective nature of oral surgery procedures, so he pivoted from a medical track to oral surgery. He completed his DDS from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill School of Dentistry, then Dr. Warren earned his Medical Degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine. His extensive training in TMJ, orthognathic, and reconstructive surgery further enhances the services he provides to his patients, and he continuously seeks to improve his skills and knowledge, aiming to offer the highest level of surgical care.
