The Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) assists in care of patients of all ages before, during and after surgical procedures by performing scrub duties and related functions as a member of the oral surgical team on a novice to advanced beginner level completing identified job competencies. Maintains patient safety, privacy and confidentiality. Complies with legal aspects of patient care. Complies with sterilization standards and standards for handling sharps or contaminated instruments. Participates in quality improvement activities and completes practice required education annually and as directed.

Lead Prosthodontist Assistant - Envision Asheville

The Lead Prosthodontist Assistant’s primary responsibility is to work under the Prosthodontist's supervision to prepare the planning, supplies, and equipment used in dentistry procedures, to ready patients for these procedures, and help the dentist during these procedures by passing instruments, holding the suction catheter in place, and generally anticipating the dentist's needs, while supporting the patient.
